Rifugio Nuvolau

Rifugio Nuvolau

Mountain is to desire the simplicity of a warm meal and the coziness of a small bed, it is to want to escape from the chaos of everyday life and find yourself, it is to loose yourself in nature and be moved by its beauty.

At Rifugio Nuvolau everything is mountain: from the rough rock on which it stands to the history it preserves.

In this place you will experience the tradition of the old alpine huts of the Dolomites: places that take you back to the origins, to the first explorers of these areas, women and men who, with deep love and care, discovered and preserved the mountain and its wonders.

Emma Menardi, who with Juan and his four brothers has enthusiastically taken on the management of the Rifugio Nuvolau, maintains the spirit of the hut: offer visitors a warm and genuine welcome, today as it was over a hundred years ago. The difficulty of supplies, the scarcity of water and technology are challenges to be welcomed and faced. They will help you forget the stress of modern life and see the world with different eyes.

Opened only from June to September.
